Sao Paulo Travel Guide

Despite its many woes, Sao Paulo remains the business hub of Latin America. São Paulo also claims to attract more visitors (mostly, but no longer exclusively, on business) than Rio de Janeiro, testimony of the intense rivalry between the two Brazilian metropolises.

About Sao Paulo

Sao Paulo covers an area of 588 sq. miles (1523 sq. Km) and is estimated to have a population of 11.1 million people being the capital of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The city is the largest in Brazil and fifth in the world by population.

Museums

It’s hard not to catch some of the enthusiasm imparted by eager staff members at this specialized little museum, hidden on the 8th, 9th, and 10th floors of an office building in Liberdade. Using wall after wall of photographs, looping videos, and artifacts, the Japanese Immigration Museum tells the history of the Japanese community in São Paulo, from the first arrivals in 1898 to the increasing integration of today.
